Just a short drive from our headquarters in Gunzenhausen, Nuremberg has always been an important location for Hetzner. Our first data center was built here in 2001, laying the foundation for our success story as an operator of state-of-the-art data centers. With the construction of our data center park in 2011, we set the course for the future. Today, our technicians and support staff ensure that servers, air conditioning, networks, and infrastructure run reliably. But Nuremberg is more than just a technology location: teams such as Key Account Management, Marketing, Network, Customer Support, Project Management, Web Team, and many others contribute daily to Hetzner's growth and innovation.
In Nuremberg, we operate a small but state-of-the-art data center park that is home to around 53 employees. Some of them work directly in the data centers—between cold aisles, technology, and server construction—while others work in offices integrated into the buildings. These offices enable concentrated work and at the same time take advantage of the site's energy efficiency, with even the low level of waste heat from the data centers contributing to heating. Despite the technical environment, there is a family atmosphere here: each data center is a workplace for a small team of around ten colleagues. This is complemented by many benefits such as a varied canteen, free barbecue events, a coffee and tea kitchen, a large and always well-stocked beverage store, ergonomic workstations with standing desks and plants, and an open team spirit that makes Nuremberg a special Hetzner location.

Nuremberg is a city with many faces: historically shaped by its medieval old town and imperial castle, but at the same time a modern center for science, technology, and business. The metropolitan region is one of the most dynamic economic locations in Bavaria and impresses with its short distances, a wide range of educational opportunities, and a strong network of companies and start-ups.
