Who we are:
As a Software Developer (m/f/d) on the Backend Team at our Falkenstein site in the Vogtland region, you will work at the heart of our Cloud products, using your expertise and ideas to improve them. Our users create thousands of virtual servers on our platform every day. Help us further develop our Cloud Servers, Volumes, and Snapshots and tackle exciting scaling challenges.
A mature CI/CD pipeline based on GitLab, Docker and Kubernetes helps you develop efficiently – automated tests and code reviews provide the necessary confidence. We rely on modern technologies, but do not follow every trend. We stay true to the motto “the right tool for the job”. We know how important the right tooling is for developers, and therefore, continuously improve it.
Our stack in a nutshell: Go, PostgreSQL, Docker and Kafka.
Your responsibilities:
- Further develop and expand our Cloud products, including Cloud Servers, Volumes and Snapshots
- Work with a CI/CD pipeline based on GitLab, Docker and Kubernetes
- Write clean, understandable code (DRY, KISS) and develop automated tests
- Conduct code reviews together with your team
- Independently update and maintain existing documentation
- Take part in an on-call shift rotation to ensure the continued availability of our services
What impresses us:
- Very good programming skills in Go
- Experience with database systems and event-based systems (Kafka)
- Knowledge of Docker, GitLab and Kubernetes
- A strong focus on clean, understandable code (DRY, KISS) and automated testing
- Reliability, independence and flexibility, as well as structured, reliable and independent documentation of projects
- Solid German and English language skills
