As a data center operator and web hosting provider, we don’t just live on the internet — we actively shape it every day. Our team manages essential network services like our VPN and DNS and is constantly working to optimize and further develop our infrastructure, systems, and processes.

We are looking for a reliable and skilled System Administrator (m/f/d) to join our team and support this mission at one of our locations in Falkenstein/Vogtland or Nuremberg.

Your responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain our network services such as DNS, VPN, mirror infrastructure, and NFS
  • Automate operational processes and maintain and further develop existing tools and scripts
  • Monitor and perform quality control on network services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network services
  • Conduct security audits and maintain technical infrastructure
  • Collaborate closely with teams across different locations and departments

What impresses us:

  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, network security, and monitoring
  • Profound knowledge in the area of LAN/WAN/WLAN design and implementation, as well as in the areas of DNS administration (DNSSEC), VPN technologies (IPsec, OpenVPN) and their protocols, and mirror operation
  • Confident use of Linux and a solid knowledge of automation; scripting (e.g., Bash, Ruby, Go); and TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, and network tools
  • Experience with security audits and STIG compliance
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner, with a strong sense of quality and security
  • Strong communication skills; good at working with teams, especially with technical experts at several different locations and departments
