Our shared values unite us and shape a culture that motivates us every day.

We celebrate our successes and milestones together – whether it's the opening of a new location or the achievement of important project goals. In addition, regular internal events such as game nights, LAN parties, barbecues, team events, Christmas parties, and summer festivals create numerous opportunities for exchange andand strengthen team spirit.
We deploy our resources in a targeted manner to achieve the best results. We work in a focused and straightforward manner. We enjoy tinkering, mastering technical challenges and developing creative solutions that are practical and sustainable.

We focus on appreciation and people – we live this through the company-wide use of “you” and a culture of open communication on an equal footing. We promote a working atmosphere in which ideas from our teams are actively listened to and implemented. This enables us to drive creative solutions and innovations forward together.

Our values are the compass for everything we do: they stand for collaboration, innovation, and responsibility. They shape our culture, guide all our decisions, and create a work environment where everyone can do their best.
For us, taking responsibility means supporting people and promoting social projects. Together with our employees, we are shaping a better future.
Our employees volunteer in many different areas. To support this commitment, every Hetzner employee can support a charitable project close to their heart with a donation budget of €800 per year.
For example, we support the Fab Lab, an open tech workshop for tinkerers, creatives, and start-ups. We also regularly co-host the Game Jam organized by Ansbach University, where developers, designers, and creatives come together to create new game concepts. In recent years, we have also participated in the Nuremberg Digital Festival, which not only showcases the region’s digital diversity but also drives digital transformation and innovation.

Social engagement has always played an important role at Hetzner. That's why we actively support charitable projects. In 2017, Martin Hetzner and his wife founded the association Ensoxx hilft e.V. – a place for people who are socially, economically, or health-disadvantaged. Ensoxx offers a wide range of services, including the Café Kleiderkiste, cooking and furniture workshops, language courses, psychosocial counseling, and job placement.

Those who work at Hetzner play an active role in shaping the company: we provide our teams with training and education to help them consciously integrate sustainability into their daily work processes.
Our efficient working methods enable us to consistently promote sustainability and achieve great success on an ongoing basis. This is reflected in our PUE value, which measures the energy efficiency of data centers. With a PUE between 1.10 and 1.16, we operate roughly 20–25% below the industry average of 1.46. In doing so, Hetzner makes a substantial contribution to environmental conservation. In addition, we cover our entire energy demand exclusively through renewable energy sources.
We optimize in many areas in a targeted manner: our self-developed data centers are designed to be energy-efficient, for example through their characteristic sloping pent roof. We also build our own servers and optimize them for efficiency. We cool our servers exclusively with outside air for 98 percent of the year and use the waste heat to heat our office and production rooms. We also attach great importance to durable hardware and optimized processes in order to use resources as sustainably as possible.
